it's the little things

I was so excited to get a package in the mail yesterday! I felt like a kid for the past three days, with an eagle eye on the front porch waiting for the man in the brown little outfit to knock on the door!

AND IT CAME! I was so excited to get my laptop case! It was love at first sight, as it reminded me of the notebooks I used in high school and college.


I would spend hours and hours in class doodling on the front of them. I still have some that I use as journals and sketch books, so really this case and I were meant for each other.

When I took the case out of the box, it sang to me, "Make me even cuter!" You can't ignore such a plea. Out came the needle and floss! Sometimes just a few stitches can really make the difference between cute and REALLY CUTE!


...Voila! I was just going to write my name, but for me doodling is like a gravitational pull, so I couldn't resist adding to it...



And then Dan said, "Looks great. Now you just have to go somewhere with your laptop." Seeing how I use my laptop basically in the same spot on the couch or at the dining room table every day, this was pretty funny. At least I have a cute case if ever the opportunity arises to take my internetting on the road.
