featherfoot is on the move

Big news here, folks.

There shall be a little baby Kastner arriving in August. Our due date is Aug. 2! WOOHOO! We went to the 12 week appointment today and saw him/her doing flips and waving and dancing around. The picture we got doesn't do what we saw live on the ultrasound machine justice! Although I've been preggo for nearly 12 weeks, seeing a head, fingers, arms and a heartbeat in the baby's chest made it real. Dan and I just sat there and stared at it in awe. It was amazing. The baby is healthy, I'm doing great - we couldn't wish for a better situation. We won't be able to find out the baby's sex for a bit longer, so for whatever reason an inside joke between Dan and myself has resulted in calling the baby Featherfoot. It's funny. That definitely won't be the baby's name, so don't worry!

I've been dying to share it with the world, but we've waited to really have it out there until now. This really explains my sparse existence in blogland because that's all that's been on my mind for weeks and we weren't quite ready to share. Yay! SO very excited!!! We're thinking of baby names, figuring out a more baby-friendly living arrangement (the 1 bedroom in the 'hood won't be cutting it anymore), and all-around prepping for the biggest and most wonderful change in our lives!

I am so very happy for both of you. I can't wait to meet the tiniest Kastner. I agree with Megan, the first bit of sunshine for Featherfoot better result in a lip freckle.
